One-to-one lessons, online
Not a course you abandon in week three. A real teacher who plans around what you actually want to do, at a time that fits your week.

What you can learn
Tell us what you are learning and we will bring you a teacher for it. The subjects with the most people waiting are the ones we approve tutors for first.
Not listed? Choose “Something else” on the form and write it in. We would rather know than guess.

How it works
A lesson is paid for before it happens and released after it does. That one rule is what makes the rest of this work.
01
If you are learning
Filter by subject, price and the hours that suit you. Pick a slot from the tutor's real calendar, not a request form.
If you are teaching
You set your rate and your hours once. Students book into what is genuinely free, in their timezone and yours.
02
If you are learning
The lesson is paid for up front and held. If it does not happen, that money is not gone.
If you are teaching
No invoicing, no chasing, no lesson taught on a promise. It is collected before you teach and held until you have.
03
If you are learning
Video, audio and a shared space in the browser. Nothing to install and no link to lose.
If you are teaching
Attendance is recorded by the room itself. Afterwards the money is released, minus 20% on Free and 10% on Pro, by the method you chose.
What protects you
A marketplace is two strangers agreeing to swap money for an hour of someone's attention. These are the parts that make that a reasonable thing to do.
A failed lesson has a recorded outcome. A qualifying cancellation returns the lesson price to the original payment method. Clear attendance evidence may issue platform credit or release the tutor's share automatically; uncertain or contested evidence goes to support review. The separate booking fee is normally non-refundable.
Before you ask
Each tutor sets their own lesson price. Ordinary card bookings also include a $0.99 booking fee, shown separately before payment; eligible platform-credit, lesson-pack and Plus bookings waive it.
Students in most countries can pay with an eligible card or supported wallet through Stripe Checkout. TutorBoost charges in US dollars. Visa and Mastercard have global cardholder coverage; other card brands and wallets vary by country. Every payment remains subject to the card issuer, Stripe, card-network rules, local law and sanctions, so no individual card is guaranteed to be accepted. Stripe currently prohibits transactions involving Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as sanctioned or otherwise restricted people.
Book someone else. There is nothing to cancel and no contract tying you to one teacher, and any lesson credit you are holding can be spent with any tutor on TutorBoost.
TutorBoost holds the lesson price until settlement. A qualifying cancellation returns that price to the original payment method or restores a pack lesson; the $0.99 booking fee is normally non-refundable. Clear classroom attendance may settle automatically. If evidence is missing, conflicting or contested, support reviews it. Other failed-lesson outcomes may be issued as platform credit rather than cash.
No. Lessons run in your browser, with video, audio and a shared space. There is no app to download and no meeting link to lose.
A person reads every application rather than approving whoever fills in the form, and we verify a tutor is who their profile says they are before they can be paid.
We are approving the first tutors now and opening to learners as soon as there are teachers worth booking. Tell us what you want to learn and we will email you when there is someone here to teach it, starting with the subjects the most people are waiting for.

No tier to climb, no rate that rises with the hours you teach, and paid trial lessons rather than free ones.
