Teach online, on your own terms

Your own tutoringbusiness, online.

A tutoring platform should help you teach, not manage you. Set your own rate, choose your hours, and bring the students you already teach. Start free.

  1. Apply

A person reads it, usually within two days.

  2. Set your rate

Your subject, your price, your week.

  3. Start teaching

Paid to your own bank after each lesson settles.

Paid tutor onboarding is open in the US, Canada, the UK, Switzerland and the EEA. Check whether we can pay you

If you are outside these 34 countries, TutorBoost cannot currently pay you. You may still apply, but we save the application on a payout-country hold: no paid teaching or payouts until Stripe coverage expands.

What happens next

Teaching by the end of the week.

Three steps, no interview rounds and no audition lesson. The lesson fee is 20% on Free and 10% on Pro, and there is no listing fee or tier you have to reach before today’s terms apply to you.

  1. A tutor working at her laptop by a bright window

Apply, and a person reads it

    Usually within two days.

We check that you are who you say you are and that you can teach. Not how large your following is, and not how cheap you will go.

  2. A guitar teacher in his own practice room

Set your rate and your hours

Your subject, your price, your week.

We do not set your price, cap it, or move it later. You choose what you charge and when you teach.

  3. A tutor greeting a student at the start of an online lesson

Teach, and withdraw what you earned

Paid to your own bank after each lesson settles.

Your payout route is confirmed before your calendar can take a paid booking, and the student's money stays held until the lesson happens.

Yours to run

Your rate, your hours, your students.

You are running a teaching business. TutorBoost is the part of it that is admin.

Set your own rate

You choose what an hour with you is worth, and you change it whenever you like. We never set your price, cap it, or move it later.

Teach anywhere, on your hours

Pick the hours you actually want to work, from home or from anywhere else. No minimum to hit, no fixed schedule, and no penalty for a quiet week.

It is your business, not a profile

Your own page, your own students, and your own invite link. Nothing here holds your student list, and it leaves with you if you go.

Included on every plan, free included

  • A booking page students can book from
  • Your calendar, and the hours you actually want
  • Card payments taken for you, held until the lesson happens
  • A lesson room in the browser, nothing to install
  • Attendance recorded, so a no-show is not an argument
  • Messaging with your students, in one place
  • Lesson packages, if you sell blocks rather than singles
  • Payouts to your bank once a lesson is done

What do you teach?

Every subject is welcome. These five have a page of their own, written for the teacher rather than the student.

The work

Everything around the lesson, handled.

You are paid to teach. The scheduling, the reminders, the payment chasing and the awkward conversation about a missed lesson are ours.

Your calendar, your rules
Set availability once and let students book into it. Timezones are resolved on our side, so nobody does mental arithmetic at midnight.
A classroom that just opens
Video, audio and a shared space in the browser. No install, no meeting link to chase, no student who cannot find the room.
Earnings you can see coming
What you have taught, what has cleared, and what is scheduled to pay out. One screen, instead of reconstructed from messages.
Disputes that are not your job
No-shows, refunds and chargebacks are handled by us against a recorded attendance log, not negotiated between you and the student.

Getting paid

Know your payout route before you teach.

At launch, paid tutor onboarding is available in the US, Canada, the UK, Switzerland and the EEA. TutorBoost cannot currently pay tutors outside those 34 countries. Applications from elsewhere are welcome and saved on hold, but paid teaching and payouts remain unavailable until Stripe coverage expands. We never let someone teach first and discover the payout limitation later.

  1. 01The student pays

Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, charged when they book. Held by us, not by you, so a no-show is our problem to resolve rather than an awkward message you have to send.

  2. 02You teach

The lesson runs in the browser. Attendance is recorded from the room itself rather than from either person's word for it.

  3. 03You get paid through a verified route

Stripe pays eligible tutors to their bank. Applications outside the current Stripe launch countries remain safely on hold; paid teaching and booking stay off until eligibility is confirmed.

What it costs

Every fee, and nothing else.

There is no listing fee, and no rate that moves with the hours you teach. This is the whole list.

Straight answers

The things you would ask us.

Will you bring me students?

Being straight about it: TutorBoost is built for tutors who already have students, and the directory is new. If you are waiting to be sent students, this is not that product yet. What you get today is the machinery to run the teaching you already do, and the option to fund your own advertising if you want more.

What happens if a student does not turn up?

Classroom attendance is recorded for both parties. Clear evidence can settle a no-show automatically; missing, conflicting or contested evidence goes to support review. The resulting release or credit follows the policy shown in the booking terms.

How and when do I get paid?

Once a lesson is eligible and settled, your share moves to your available balance. Tutors in TutorBoost’s 34 supported payout countries can then request a bank payout through Stripe Connect. Applicants elsewhere remain on hold and cannot teach paid lessons or receive payouts until coverage expands.

Can I leave, and do I keep my students?

Yes, and yes. There is no notice period and no exit fee. Your students are people you teach, not accounts we hold, and nothing stops you continuing with them elsewhere.

Teach the same lessons. Lose less of them.

Free to start, 10% flat on Pro. No tiers to climb, no volume to earn, no rate that changes once you have built something worth taking a cut of.

Apply as a tutor

A person reads every application. You will need a way to prove who you are before your first payout.

  • You set your own rate
  • Payout eligibility checked first
  • Leave whenever you like
