Regulatory Information
Last updated: 16 October 2026
Effective: 18 October 2026
1. Who we are
TutorBoost is an online tutoring platform. Email: support@tutorboost.org.
2. Single points of contact
For authorities of EU Member States, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services (DSA Art 11): legal@tutorboost.org. We accept messages in English.
For users (DSA Art 12): support@tutorboost.org. We read messages in English. Messages to this address are answered by a person, not only by automated tools.
For privacy questions and data protection requests: privacy@tutorboost.org.
3. Reporting illegal content
Anyone can tell us about content on TutorBoost (a profile, a review, a message or an ad) that they believe is illegal, by email to support@tutorboost.org with the subject “Illegal content notice”. To let us act, please include:
- a clear explanation of why you believe the content is illegal;
- the exact link (URL) to the content, or enough detail to find it;
- your name and email address, unless the notice concerns child sexual abuse material; and
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the information in the notice is accurate and complete.
We confirm receipt, decide promptly, carefully and objectively, tell you what we decided and how you can seek redress, and say whether automated tools were involved. Signed-in users can also use the Report link on a profile or message.
4. When we restrict content or an account
If we remove or restrict content, suspend payments to a tutor, or suspend or close an account, we tell the person affected the facts and reasons, the rule or law relied on, whether automated tools were used, and how to ask for a review (see Complaints and Disputes), unless the law prevents it or it would put someone at risk.
5. Our terms, ranking and advertising
- Rules on content and conduct: Acceptable Use and Safety.
- How search results are ordered, paid placement, and how reviews are checked: How Search Results Are Ranked.
- Whether a tutor is a trader: every tutor who takes paid bookings has declared that they teach as a business (see Student Terms).
- Paid placements on TutorBoost are labelled “Featured”. Ads funded by tutors run on Facebook and Instagram in TutorBoost’s name (see Advertising Programme Terms).
6. Users in the EU
We publish the average number of monthly active recipients of our service in the EU here at least every six months, once we have calculated it, and provide it to authorities on request.
